Veterans Day, or Armistice Day as it is also called, is the day that we honor those that have served in the military. Originally, though, the day was meant to commemorate the Armistice that ended the First World War-- which took effect at eleven o'clock in the morning... the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918.
